Hello Steve,
these funky bass chops are awesome. Thank you very much indeed.
Real grooving Bass Midis are rare animals on the market. Please keep on doing this kind of stuff, dude.
I guess you’re using Spectrasonic’s Trillian Bass Module, aren’t you?

Hello, I recently purchased your Sexy Strings collection and I really must say it is excellent! The disco string riffs work really well over many chord structures, for a minute it felt like I had Quincy Jones working on my track. Fantastic!

I must say I am very enjoying the funky jazzy midis on your website. It makes me think of a bit like Chic Corea and Herbie Hancock. Please let us have more like this?

Steve…
You’re the greatest! Having purchased around 30 MIDI packs from your site (and Big Fish Audio) I’m happier than a pig in slop! Being a guitar player… it got expensive hiring out for keyboard sessions for parts I couldn’t play myself. It’s also nice to sit around with you (!) and jam over some grooves to get song ideas flowing. You’re always there when called upon.
You never ask for a raise…  you’re never late… you never raid my refrigerator… you’re never on the cell phone… you never spill drink on the sofa… I’m saving tons of money right there!
You’re my number one call now!

All kidding aside. You provide a great line of products and I do wish you continued success. You know, I’ve been jokingly telling people you’re playing on my tracks… do you mind if I give you credit?

Anyway… thanks for all you do!

Midi Keys : Deep Jazzy House Grooves

This collection of MIDI chords, groovin’ bass lines, lead melodies, and solos is said to contain some of today’s best MIDI-format keyboard work.
Like its title suggests, MIDI Keys: Deep Jazzy House Grooves will take you deep in the heart of jazzy house grooves via nearly 100 loops and construction kits. The collection includes 50 MIDI keyboard loops (synthesizers, rhodes, pads, strings, and so forth) in a range of styles, from funky, syncopated deep house riffs to chilled jazzy grooves in the style of Fender Rhodes. All loops feature complex chord progressions that could easily form the musical structure for an entire mix, according to the manufacturer. Also included are 20 MIDI deep-house style bass loops, 20 MIDI lead lines, and 5 MIDI construction kits.

Cool Keys RnB 2

Smash Up The Studio, Cool Keys RnB 2 continues the legacy of the original Cool Keys RnB sample pack and adds even more keyboard loops to the series.
Five construction kits are included, comprised of royalty-free keyboard loops in styles ranging from “smooth laid back bedtime grooves” to “tough street vibes.” The loops are ready to play in tempos from 65 to 115 BPM, available as 24-bit WAV files and in Apple Loops format.

All content was performed and produced by session keyboardist / songwriter / producer Steve Burton for Smash Up The Studio.

Club Grooves Urban Piano

Urban Pianos is a collection of 50 original R&B, Hip Hop and pop Piano loops performed and produced by Steve Burton, whose massive credit list includes such artists as Whitney Houston, George Michael and Justin Timberlake. Although the riffs all fall into the urban pop category, there’s plenty of variety, with both up-beat tinkles and more melancholy arpeggios.
Burton’s years of keyboard experience clearly shine through; the rhythms of each riff are kept tight while feeling is achieved through deft touch and variation in note velocity.
For a producer or songwriter of pop or urban music, this is a simple but effective resource.

Midi keys bass 2 strictly house

It’s hard to put a price on inspiration when writing music. For some producers, just a single note on an intricate synth patch can speak several ideas, whereas for others it’s all about the melody and the groove.
Smash Up The Studio has recently launched a new range of MIDI packs containing loops that can be imported into your session and then assigned an appropriate sound. All of the packs have been played by Steve Burton, whose keyboard work can be heard on tracks by artists such as Jocelyn Brown, Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston, as well as on labels such as Ministry of Sound and Strictly Rhythm.
Bass 2 Strictly House features 50 four-bar Midi bass lines plus an mp3 reference track with several examples alongside house beats. The loops range from funky and melodic Latino lines to more repetitive classic house grooves.
Overall this is an inspiring pack and a good resource for beginners looking to learn how to program typical house bass lines.

Hello there Smash Up The Studio,

I just purchased Cool Keys RnB loops and I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m very happy with them. Probably the best loops I ever purchased. All the keys are awesome. I’m buying “club grooves vol.1 slower grooves” today and looking forward to it. I’ll be happy to purchase keyboard loops like this anytime. Any more new ones in the plan from the same musician?

Thanks,
Yuki

If Smash Up The Studio, Cosmic House is as fun as Cosmic Bowling, we’re all in for a real treat. The newly released sample library features crunchy synths, bulbous bass and drum grooves fit to move fluids all over the dance floor. It’s like a discotheque in outer space!
The library contains many classic analog and digital synths. It’s made for the modern producer — especially if they’re into electro house.

The loops on Cool Keys range from 65-100 BPM and span the gamut from piano balladeering to street vibes so ice cold you’ll think its a gum commercial. And like most professional gum commercials, it’s recorded in 24-bit audio and performed by session keyboardist Steve Burton. Maybe not the last part, but Dentyne Ice? Black Ice? That’s no coincidence.
Overall, there are more than 50 amazing four-bar progressions. Each loop is hella usable in RnB situations, and also comes in MIDI form for versatility.

Sounds Smash Up The Studio RnB Vibes Piano: Tickle More Than Just The Ivories

Lets be frank: modern RnB just ain’t modern RnB unless it gets people to take their clothes off. You can’t just grab any classically trained pianist off the street, sit him down in front of a Fantom G and expect his riffs to exude the requisite “vibe.” You need a proven pro. That’s why Equonix Sounds Smash Up The Studio RnB Vibes Piano
features none other than Steve Burton, session ace with such vocal-disrobers as Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Babyface and Jodeci.

This new collection features 40 4-8 bar chord progressions ranging in tempo from 65-110 BPM. Each loop could form the basic musical structure for an entire track, and comes in 24-bit WAV, MIDI and APPLE LOOPS formats. The riffs range in style from sultry smooth arpeggios to funky eighth note stabs to romantic chordal ballads.
